How to Measure

How to Measure

To ensure the perfect fit for your kilt, follow these measurement guidelines. Make sure to use a flexible measuring tape and stand naturally for the most accurate results.

1. Waist Size

Measure around your waist at navel height. This is typically 2 inches above your hip bone or higher than where you normally wear trousers. Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight.

2. Hip or Seat Size

Empty your pockets before measuring.

Stand with your feet together.

Measure around the widest part of your hips to get an accurate seat size.

3. Kilt Length

Kneel on the ground.

Place the measuring tape on the floor.

Measure up to your belly button.

Tip: Kilts should not be worn too long, so ensure the measurement is precise for a traditional fit.
